AI

What should we lock before building an enterprise AI pilot?
Define the workflow owner, approved data sources, success metrics, human review rules, and logging requirements before writing prompts. AI without operational design becomes a demo that cannot enter production.
Name the job-to-be-done, who uses it, and how you will measure quality (deflection, time saved, accuracy). Avoid open-ended chatbots without a measurable outcome.
List systems of record, retention rules, and who may see which sources. Prefer retrieval from approved stores over dumping everything into a vector index.
Require citations where possible, human approval for customer-facing replies when risk is high, and staged rollout with monitoring. Treat prompts and tools as change-controlled assets.
